Landlord sued to evict tenant for nonpayment of rent. The court ruled for landlord. Tenant appealed, claiming that landlord didn't prove it owned the building. The appeals court ruled against tenant. Landlord proved it owned the building by producing a certified copy of the deed. And, besides, landlord didn't have to prove it owned the building. Landlord only had to prove it had a landlord-tenant relationship with tenant. Landlord proved this by producing the lease.
