Landlord Owes Tenant $1,772 Under Stipulation

LVT Number: 9586

Landlord sued to evict tenant. Landlord and tenant stipulated that tenant move out by a specific date. In return landlord would pay tenant $2,800. Landlord asked for a reduction in this amount after tenant moved out. The court ruled for landlord. When tenant moved out he owed landlord three months' rent; landlord owed tenant the security deposit, in the amount of one month's rent. So landlord owed tenant a total of $1,772, which equaled the original $2,800, minus one month's rent of $1,028. The judgment was modified to reflect this.
