Landlord Not Entitled to ‘Added Rent'

Landlord sued to evict tenant for nonpayment of rent. Landlord sought ''added rent'' for damage to carpet, and cleaning costs. The court ruled for landlord. Tenant appealed and won. Landlord submitted insufficient proof at trial of damages warranting an award of added rent.
