Landlord Harassed Loft Tenants
LVT Number: 17215
Tenants complained to the Loft Board that landlord harassed them. The Loft Board ruled for tenants. The Loft Board found that landlord harassed tenants by unreasonably and willfully interfering with their use of the loft. Landlord was fined $4,500 for five violations of the unreasonable interference rules. Landlord appealed, claiming that there was no harassment and that tenants should have filed a separate harassment complaint. The appeals court ruled against landlord. Tenants presented sufficient proof of landlord's violation of the unreasonable interference provisions of the Loft Board regulations. And tenants weren't required to file a separate harassment complaint.
