Landlord Didn't Submit Proper Proof of Registration
LVT Number: 8244
Landlord sued to evict tenant for nonpayment of rent. Landlord's petition stated that the rent-stabilized apartment was properly registered with the DHCR. But landlord didn't show proper proof. Landlord submitted a 1991 Rent Stabilization Association (RSA) form showing that the RSA had prepared landlord's registration that year and a 1992 annual registration receipt report from the DHCR. Landlord's managing agent stated that he'd filed the registration forms. But these documents weren't certified by the DHCR. Landlord's case was dismissed.
