Landlord Can Seek All Back Rent Due

Landlord sued to evict tenant for nonpayment of rent. The trial court ruled that landlord could only sue for the last five months of back rent. Landlord appealed. The appeals court ruled for landlord. Landlord didn't delay nonpayment proceedings to put tenant in an unfavorable position. Landlord had to wait for the outcome of a related case before proceeding. Landlord was entitled to seek all back rent due.
