Landlord sued to evict tenant. Sometime during the trial, tenant claimed that landlord couldn't proceed because prior landlord had sent tenant the termination notice. The court ruled against tenant. Tenant appealed and lost. Prior landlord's rights were transferred to new landlord when the building was sold.
