Landlord sued to evict tenant for chronic nonpayment of rent. The court ruled for landlord. Tenant appealed and lost. Landlord brought nine nonpayment proceedings against tenant during a 10-year period. In each case, a judgment was entered for landlord with no valid defenses raised by tenant. Landlord was entitled to possession based on tenant's pattern of chronic default in rent payment.
