Inspection Showed Termite Condition Corrected

Tenant complained of a reduction in services, claiming that there were termites in her apartment. An inspection showed some dead termites near tenant's kitchen radiator. The DRA ruled for tenant. Landlord appealed, showing that an exterminator had treated the building in March and that the DHCR's inspection in May showed no live termites in the apartment or elsewhere in the building. The dead termites tended to show that the apartment had been exterminated. The DHCR ruled for landlord and revoked the rent cut.
