Elevator Didn't Level Properly

LVT Number: #23009

Tenants complained of a reduction in building-wide services based on elevator defects. The DRA ruled for tenants and reduced their rents. Landlord appealed and lost. Landlord claimed that tenants' complaint was vague and that the elevator was in good working order. But DHCR inspection showed that the elevator didn't level properly and stopped 2.5 inches off the floor on the second, third, and sixth floors. The elevator wasn't being maintained properly, and the DRA properly reduced tenants' rents. And tenants' complaint was sufficiently specific.
