Conditions Listed in Rent Reduction Order Corrected
LVT Number: 18462
Tenant complained of a reduction in services. The DRA ruled for tenant and reduced his rent. Landlord later applied for rent restoration based on restoration of services. The DRA ruled for landlord. Tenant appealed and lost. Tenant claimed that his living room ceiling and wall were water damaged. But this wasn't the subject of tenant's complaint. Tenant's rent had been reduced based on a finding that the foyer wall next to the kitchen was bulging and crumbling, the kitchen closet wall was peeling, the bedroom floor was water stained, the kitchen cabinet doors didn't close properly, and the medicine cabinet had chipped paint. An inspection showed that these conditions had been corrected.
